Creating a taxonomy

You need to create a taxonomy to store a set of categories.

About this task

To create a taxonomy, open the applications menu and click Content > Web Content Authoring and then click New > Taxonomy.
  1. Taxonomy identification
    Specify identification information for the taxonomy, including the name, title and description of the taxonomy.
  2. Specify a location for the taxonomy
    When creating a taxonomy you can specify the location of the taxonomy.
  3. Taxonomy properties
    Specify properties for the taxonomy, including the list of authors and owners associated with the taxonomy.
  4. Granting taxonomy access
    Specify the access control settings for the taxonomy to determine which users have access to the taxonomy and their level of access.
